All things mysterious and extraordinary are never too far out of reach, especially if you’re in London. Hidden near the West End on a small back street one can find Watkins Books. Being one of the world’s oldest and leading independent bookshops, you can imagine that there must be something that makes Watkins stand out among the others.

Watkins Books publishes and sells books that impact the mind, body and spirit. Upon entering the store, one can find walls decorated with informative self-help titles on everything from a daily guide on how to be a better parent to how to overcome addiction to how to do Yoga.

If you are interested in exploring your spirituality, there are books philosophical and educational on Buddhism, Christian spirituality and Islam.

For something a bit more esoteric, take a quick walk down the stairs and you will be introduced to literature on Witchcraft and Wicca, Mythology and Astrology.

Even if you’re not interested entirely in the literature, Watkins offers a range of services and book events as well. In addition to being able to assist you with questions and recommendations on books, they also offer individual Tarot readings. One can even purchase their own tarot cards as well as other essences, statues and crystals.
